Demographic Circle

Title
About

The Demographic Circle at the University of Illinois is a campuswide scholarly community focused on demographic research, broadly defined, using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods. Open to all disciplines, the Circle usually meets once a month during term time and offers the following opportunities:

Work-in-Progress Sessions

Participants are encouraged to submit draft manuscripts for review in a supportive setting so that their papers can improve for publication purposes. Participants in a session when a paper is workshopped offer constructive comments and feedback to help authors prepare their work for publication.

Conference Preparation Sessions

Once a year in the spring before the Population Association of America annual conference, a session is devoted to helping conference participants, especially graduate students, prepare for their oral or poster presentations.
