Jose Atiles is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Recently, Professor Atiles was awarded the "Illinois Student Government Teaching Excellence Award" which recognizes instructors for outstanding performance in and out of the classroom.
