Professor Cynthia Buckley was recently interviewed by Jeremy Gantz, a contributing editor for the Center for Illinois Politics, about the potential impact of the 2020 Census on UIUC and the state of Illinois. In Part 1, Professor Buckley discusses the consequences of the pandemic on the Census, especially in creating a shortage of "enumerators, also known as Census takers," which could lead to undercounting throughout the state. Part 2 of the article focuses on the possibility of Illinois losing Congressional seats due to Census data.
